Art classes became part of my life in my early twenties in Ontario, Canada and continued when I relocated to Alberta. Drawing, watercolour, acrylic, oil and encaustic classes/workshops with a variety of talented instructors here in Edmonton, and surrounding area, have added to my artistic training. A previous twenty-year career as a florist, plus a love of gardening are two major influences in my subject choices, while the works of Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keeffe have definitely influenced my style. Fruits, flowers and vegetables are an endless supply of inspiration for my imagination, while colour, sumptuous texture, and the play of light on a shape or surface feed my creative spirit.
